Can’t really give you a current favourite Bible verse – as you say there are so many – and even so many speaking to me at the moment!! God is very busy with me at the moment!! But I thought I’d share my family’s family verse for the year: James 1:19 ‘…everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry’. I have a 10 year old daughter and an 8 year old son and my goodness, we all need this verse! It has really been helping me to slow down before getting cross with them and has helped us think together about how best to love each other. We’ve begun to start weekends by praying together that we would keep this verse in mind and it is having an impact!
I would class myself as a ‘Spring Chick’ – absolutely love journalling in my bible but haven’t had it for ever so long, so still trying new things out! My daughter has asked me to get her a journalling bible for Easter, so she’s a ‘hatchling’ – so excited about the opportunity to explore the bible with her in this way – it is right up her street, she is a great artist. Wonderful to find such a personalised way into God’s word for her – I pray it will really build her relationship with God.

Sorry – not a very quick reply!! Would absolutely love to win all those goodies and get stuck in with them with my daughter! They will certainly be a great blessing to whoever wins!

Now to see if I can work out a repost app on my phone to enter via Instagram…

Thank you for the blessing you are through your Instagram account and this blog.

    love Emma xxx

Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips! Psalms 141:3 is my life verse because oh how my mouth can cause me issues! I have a journaling bible on order but I’ve been waiting over a month for it – apparently they’re on back order everywhere! That means I’m a hatchling – ready to get started and I would love this set to get me going! Thanks for your encouragement!

Hello its me again Stephanie from instagram 🙂 My name on IG is (Yourztrulybabe) I seen the post on your page regarding a contest and decided to give it a shot at winning (hopefully) 🙂 I had to repost your project Lent 2015 and also decided to comment here so it can give me an extra entry to hopefully winning this awesome package of goodies. I have been following your page a few weeks now and always looking forward to viewing your artsy Journaling bible pages along with wonderful Psalms. You can call me a “Hatchling” because I’m currently looking into Journaling bibles so I can purchase one and get started. Your creativity with stickers stamps and coloring has enlightened me with so many wonderful ideas when I am actually able to open up my own Journaling bible and get artsy just like you. The verse that has stuck on me is the one I seen on your page a few weeks ago (PSALM 139:4) what was written on your page was “Whatever today holds,be assured God already knows.Whatever you are anxious about, concerned about, hopeful about…Whatever is on your heart today, God knows even before you start praying and he is with you.” We all have so many things going on in life with ourselves and or family/friend related and best thing to do is pray to God and ask him to ease our mind and hearts and that he may give us the strength we need and faith to get through it all. My favorite saying to everyone is “Leave it in Gods hands” and I truly believe that we just need to leave everything and anything in Gods hands and let him take care of it all. Thanks in advance for taking your time to read my 2nd entry and crossing my fingers but also leaving it in Gods hands that I will be the winner. Have a Blessed Day and Good Luck to all the contestants 🙂

    “Spring Chick”
    1 Peter Verses 22-25 ESV
“By obedience to the Truth, having purified yourselves for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again — not of perishable but of imperishable — through the living and enduring word of God. For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord endures forever.”

I haven’t been a christian for very long actually. My first “Rebirthday” will be on April 13th and I am really excited about it. In the last year I have seen such a change in my life and in those around me. I have brought Christ back to a woman who has been in need of His grace, I have helped my mom with her struggles by speaking with her about the Truth, I have become the light that shines for those seeking Him and many of my previous relationships and friendships have taken a turn to the Word. It has all been a blessing.

I have had my journaling bible for about three months but I haven’t exactly figured out how I really want my bible to “speak”. I flip through pages and pages of illustrated verses and I haven’t quite found my place. Knowing that I am a visual learner, I have been illustrating the verse on the page so that even if I am not reading the verse, I see the picture and know what the lesson is and was meant for me. Plus, as I flip through my bible, I can really see where I once was, where I have been, and what is next in my journey through the bible. And once it is filled, I will start all over once again.

Wishing everyone the best of luck! God Bless.

I’ve been in the book of James seeking to commit it to memory, and have found comfort in verse 5 of chapter 1. “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

I’m also very much a hatchling. I have received my journaling Bible in the mail and am excited to get started!

Me again! Thought I might as well get an extra entry!
I am a “hatchling” 🐣. I want to start a journal bible after becoming so amazed and inspired by all of the posts @sewcosy shares! I haven’t been able to find the right one for me yet, but i’m excited to find one soon.
A verse that’s been returning to me for a couple of months now is a very simple verse, but so powerful. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.” In my crazy busy life it reminds me to find comfort in Him and the control he has on my life, and to make the time to bring everything back to Him.

    Lots of love,
    Laura

Hello its me again (Yourstrulybabe) from IG. I just wanted to share another verse that I truly needed to hear today (1Peter5:7) , (Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you) this was posted on your page 21 weeks ago for one of your dear friends. I was scrolling through your photos on your IG page and this really caught my eyes because of what I’m currently dealing with.It is amazing how God speaks to us in mysterious ways. It could be someones status message on facebook, something we hear on the radio/tv or something like this just browsing someones photos on IG and coming across this verse. I needed this and so glad he spoke to me today. It is the little things that mean the most to me and this meant a lot. I know he cares for me I know he is looking out for me and I know he is listening. Thank you for sharing your wonderful artsy Journaling bible photos with all of us. I have entered this contest on IG and on here as well and I just wanted to say Thank You for making such an awesome contest for everyone to participate in and be able too read each others thoughts and comments. I’m a [hatchling] and still browsing the internet to find myself a Journaling bible but there are so many too choose from and I have no idea which to choose :/

That’s great to hear Steph, not that you’re having a challenging time – but that God has encouraged you in that today!! There seems to be a bit of a journaling Bible shortage online at the moment – I don’t think the publishers were ready for the online excitement for them! Lol! Praying that your day improves and you keep being encouraged by the Word x

I guess I’m a mix between a Spring Chick and a hatchling. I’ve had my journaling Bible awhile but have only done a couple thing with it. Still trying to figure out my groove. 🙂 I almost have an anxiety come over me when I sit down to start an entry. I was raised to not write in my Bible, so it’s been a hard transition!

One of my current favorites is Ephesians 2:4-7.

I am also reposting on IG (@brendarana) but an set to private.

‘Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me.’ -Psalm 51:10 This verse is fresh in my heart and mind, because each day I am still praying that with Gods grace and love I will soak up his word and be changed by it. I have a bible and I have a journal that I right in, I have been wanting to get a journaling bible but i haven’t had the means to get one just yet and while I have highlighted verses and taken some notes in my bible, I too was raised not to write in it so I’m still getting used the idea of doing it and it being ok. So, i guess you could say I’m a mix between a hatchling and a spring chick. 🙂 I’m also on instagram (@maria_isabel6021)

Fav verse: my theme verse for 2015, 2 Chronicles 20:12 … The end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 was rough for me, but this verse became a daily reminder to keep my eyes on God through it all.
    I don’t have a journaling Bible… Yet.
That being said, I would be classified as a hatchling. Eager to get started on my Bible doodles!!

Hi, I am YHAXANDER on IG. Currently private but will post and make public tomorrow am for a day or so. Hmm… So many verses..Last week I read Joshua 1v 8-9 and not only is it the reference my mum put on my first ever “grown up” bible when I was about 8 but reading it again confirmed what I have been feeling about Gods Word these past few months. I’m a hatchling. I’ve come across journalling bibles in the past and thought them a good idea but didn’t feel a need. Since start of the new year I have felt a real desire to study God’s word in a fresh and new way, especially concentrating on being a mother and raising a child in a godly home. Coming on IG in February (hatchling for IG too) I’ve been inspired by your work and other journalling bible/sketch note stuff. Made me dig out my old study bible from the 90s thats all underscored, post-its etc. – even found in it a slip of paper with the name of someone from YF I had to pray for 20 yrs ago. Once journalling bibles are back in stock (!) I will be buying one. So thank you! (My verse for 2015 is Philippians 4:8-9. But that’s not my entry for the giveaway 🙂 )

I adore it. I’m not the most creative….so I *so* appreciate posts on what others have done. I would classify myself as a “Spring Chick”. 🙂 Love this giveaway. Thank you!
