Project Lent 2015

Project Lent 2015

It is traditional for lent to give things up, the idea behind this being to help us turn away from the distractions in our lives and turn our focus back to God. I know for myself, whenever I give up chocolate, I am amazed how many times in the day I think about it! So that is the challenge I set myself, when I do find myself thinking about chocolate again I try to instead pray or praise.

This year I have given something up, but I also decided I wanted to think about what I could give… So I am doing a lent give away! My journaling Bible has been a great tool and encouragement for me to delve into the word and rummage around scripture, so over lent I have been accumulate a pile of journaling Bible goodies to hopefully bless and encourage someone else in this journey. I will have some of the things I use and love as well as some new things I have not tried myself yet. (Well that was the plan – to be all journaling Bible supplies, then I saw some cute novelty socks! So it’s mainly journaling Bible supplies, with some other cute things thrown in!)

My aim is to have 40 fun things, one for each day of lent by the end. I have been revealing what is in the giveaway pile every few days on my old blog as well as on my personal Instagram account [@sewcosy]. So stay tuned for updates and info on how to enter…
