Grace & Salt ink

So this evening I got started on the big challenge! I’ve decided I want to make a quilted panel Weekender, using the very helpful tutorial/tips from Elizabeth Hartman’s blog

As a child my grandmother taught me to copy patterns onto baking parchment then use that to cut pieces with incase I made a mistake and I still do the same now as a 31 year old! So far I have cut out my backing material, the wadding will have to wait for tomorrow.

I have also ordered most of the fabric for the project… Plus a jelly roll of the same incase I want to make a matching quilt for baby. This will be dependant on the baby’s sex as the fabric is a bit girlie, which doesn’t matter for my bag – but would for a boys quilt!
